Dear Players and Parents
We have just been advised that the regular 2020 Competition season has been cancelled - see statement above from SMJFL However, depending on covid restrictions, football within and across clubs will be delivered through other formats, such as Lightning Carnivals, Inter/Intra club matches or AFL9s, potentially in conjunction with the SMJFL.
The OJFC remain committed to preparing for and providing a football playing experience as covid restrictions allow. We also feel we have an obligation to live out our community values and continue to support you through the lockdown.
Your Committee has agreed that we will roll over this years registration fees to 2021 after deducting modest 2020 club operating expenses. This will avoid substantial administrative burdens on the club and will also mean a minimal registration fee in 2021. For families experiencing household pressures please contact email@example.com to arrange a refund of your registration fees. Separate refund arrangements are being prepared for the U17 squad and you will receive further communications shortly.
We know some of you will be incredibly disappointed by the decision of the SMJFL Board. We thank all of our fantastic passionate volunteers - coaches, team managers, and operational crew. We also thank you, our players, for bringing football to our families and communities and drawing us all in close around you. You are the reason we do all this. We will continue to work toward delivering post Lockdown football for you – keep an eye on your squad feed on TeamApp.
